An Apple a Day …
There is a saying, “An apple a day keeps the doctor away.”
Whether you believe it or not, does not matter when you put into context what this saying can suggest. My interpretation is that what you do on a daily basis reflects how you live your life. Perhaps this saying can be traced back to Socrates “We are what we repeatedly do.”
What do you daily?
What do you repeatedly do?
Should you write a book?
If you think you should, then you should take action daily.
This could be a few words or many thousands. Everyone has their own pace. Find yours and stick with it.
Jerry Seinfeld apparently kept a calendar which he crossed off daily to ensure he had written new material. He would see that chain of crosses building, and it would spur him on when he did not “feel” like writing. So I guess you could say he had his apple a day.
What could be your technique to assist you with keeping your focus?
Does marking crosses on a calendar work for you? How about eating an apple a day?
Whatever it is, find it and use it.
Remember to enjoy yourself on the journey.
Below is a short video about creating a book in less than 60 minutes. May you enjoy watching and have a great week.
