Have you played recently?
Board game favourites in our household are Monopoly, Cluedo, Articulate and The Game of Life.
Listening to the roars of laughter while these games are played, reminds me of the fascination we have with games.
When not playing board games, the book we refer to is Parlour Games for Modern Families.
The ladies (Myfanwy Jones and Spiri Tsintziras) who wrote this book did so because of the inability to find a similar book in the marketplace.
How many times have we heard this story, that a person is looking for a particular product and they cannot find it, so they make it themselves?
Some people respond with ‘but that is so simple, I could have thought of that’.
The point here is that other people did not, and that it did take one person to take the risk to bring their idea to market.
To me, this again reinforces what may be simple and obvious to you, may not be the same for others.
Your story needs to be written, and your ideas need to be shared.
Who knows where this might take you?
If you are in doubt, take a look around you.
Many of the items you see immediately around you were initially only an idea. A person took courage to share it, and now it is a reality.
Whether that be the chair you are sitting in, the vehicle you are travelling in, the road you are driving on, the clothes you are wearing. These are all initially a simple idea and they have become a fact of life, a reality.
What is your thought or idea that can become your, and subsequently other people’s, reality?
