Ideas to Inspire
No matter what your age creating a story to share with others is a truly magical experience.
I love to see the way people’s eye light up when they tell a story, share a success or ponder on a dream.
Finding the right medium for your story can be a challenge. I have found as an adult we can over analyse the creation of a story that is already within us.
What can you do to bring out your story?
What about starting with your inner child? The time when you told stories without fear of failure or rejection. When you did not need to know the end and just made it up as you went along, and the end, well sometimes there was not an end. The story continued another day.
Bring out your inner child.
Bring out your inner child, and use experiences from experts in the child writing industry.
A couple of favourites that have passed my way of late are ChildWrites Annual Writing competition (Closes 27th September 2015), Write4Fun (closes 30 August 2015) and International Dot Day (15 September 2015).
Ok, slight technical issue, you need to be a child to enter the competitions. So having a child ot two to enter into the competitions can assist … But let’s not be too caught up in the detail. Reading the information and resources on these websites is a great starting point. The steps and processes can be leveraged by people of all ages.
What are you waiting for?
Why should the kids have all the fun?
